Just saw this deal on the Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit MX for $121 shipped. That's a pretty good price for a 25-function multitool. I've been eyeing this one for a while, but I'm not sure if I need it since I already have a Leatherman Wave. What do you guys think? Is it worth the upgrade?

I've had my Swiss Tool for over 10 years now. It's indestructible. The steel is top-notch and the tools are all accessible from the outside which is a huge plus. For $121, that's a steal. I'd say go for it if you have the budget. Just remember, it's not as quick to deploy the tools as a Leatherman, but it's more precise and the quality is unmatched.

I'm just a weekend warrior, but I love my Spirit! Bought it about 2 years ago and it's been my go-to for everything from fixing bikes to building stuff. The pliers are super smooth and the scissors are amazing. But I gotta say, the leather sheath that comes with it is crap. I replaced mine with a cheap nylon one. Still, for $121, you won't regret it.

If you're into restoration work like me, you'll appreciate the precision of the Swiss Tool. The file is finer than on most multi-tools, so it's better for shaping small parts. The only downside is that it's a bit heavier than comparable Leatherman models, but that's because it's built like a tank. I'd say grab it before the price goes back up. You can always resell it if you don't like it.
