Alright folks, I'm torn between the DeWalt DWPW2400 and the Makita PW2400. Both are 2400 PSI, but I'm looking for something that can handle heavy concrete cleaning without losing pressure. Anyone had time with both? Precision matters here – I need consistent flow, not just peak numbers.

I’ve run both on job sites. The DeWalt feels solid, but the Makita has a better pump (triplex vs axial). For longevity, Makita wins if you’re pushing it daily. DeWalt’s hose is longer though, which is nice. My two cents: Makita if you need workhorse, DeWalt if you want portability.

Carl nailed it. I’ve got the Makita in my shop for detailing. The unloader valve is more precise, so you don’t get surge when releasing trigger. DeWalt’s trigger is a bit mushy. Also check the fittings – Makita uses brass, DeWalt plastic. That’s a dealbreaker for me.

Been beating on a DeWalt DWPW2400 for 2 years on renos. Still chugging, but I had to replace the hose after 6 months. Heard Makita’s pump is rebuildable – if true, that’s huge. Gary, if you’re cleaning concrete every week, spend extra for Makita. If it’s occasional, save cash and grab DeWalt on sale.

Thanks guys. Think I’m leaning Makita. Brass fittings and rebuildable pump seal it. Gonna check the weight though – Sarah, is it a beast to cart around?
