Hey everyone, I'm finally pulling the trigger on a pressure washer for my deck and driveway. I've got it narrowed down to the DeWalt DXPW4240 or the Makita XRP08. Any experience with either? The DeWalt's got the higher PSI, but the Makita's GPM seems solid. Which one lasts longer for frequent use?

I've used both. The DeWalt is cheaper upfront, but I went through two in three years. The Makita cost more but it's still going strong after four. If you can swing it, the Makita is worth the extra dough, especially for a deck that needs periodic cleaning. Don't skimp on the pump!

Makita all the way, man. Their brushless motors are bulletproof. DeWalt's are fine, but Makita's build quality is superior. I've got the XRP08 and it's a beast. Plus, if you already have Makita batteries, it's a no-brainer. That said, if you need max PSI for tough concrete stains, maybe look at a Honda-powered unit.

I'm just a weekend warrior, so take this with a grain of salt. I bought the DeWalt a couple years ago and it's been fine for my needs – washing the car, the occasional patio. No issues yet. But I don't use it every week. If you're doing heavy renos like Will, maybe go Makita. Both are solid, just depends on your budget and usage.

Thanks for the input, guys. Sounds like the Makita is the safer bet for long-term. I'll stretch the budget a bit. Appreciate the honesty!
