Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a new pressure washer and I'm stuck between DeWalt and Makita. I've heard good things about both, but I want to know which one you guys think is better for heavy-duty use like cleaning driveways and siding. Any advice?

DeWalt all the way, man. I've been running a DeWalt 4200 PSI for years on job sites and it hasn't let me down once. That Honda engine is bulletproof and the pump is top notch. Makita makes decent tools, but for pressure washers, DeWalt is the proven workhorse.

I gotta disagree with Carl here. I've used both, and I think Makita has better overall build quality and their newer models have some cool features like auto-start/stop. Plus, they're usually lighter and easier to move around. But honestly, for most home use, you can't go wrong with either.

As a renovator, I've seen both in action. What really matters is the pump and the pressure. DeWalt tends to have higher PSI, but Makita often has higher GPM, which affects cleaning speed. For driveways, you want high GPM to rinse faster. I'd lean Makita for that reason, but both are solid. Check the warranty too, they differ.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'll look into the GPM and warranty. Sounds like either way I'll be getting a good machine. I might just flip a coin at this point!
