DeWalt vs Makita Pressure Washers - Which One Should I Get?

Alright folks, I've been going back and forth on this for weeks. I need a decent pressure washer for around the house and some light commercial work. I've narrowed it down to the DeWalt 3400 PSI and the Makita 3700 PSI models. I know DeWalt is chunky and reliable, but Makita has that sweet brushless motor. Any of you have experience with these? Pros/cons? I'm leaning DeWalt because I already have their batteries, but I'm open to arguments.

Just check the pump type - you want an axial or direct drive? DeWalt tends to use more robust pumps. Also, think about warranty: Makita's 3-year on the motor is nice, but DeWalt has better customer service. And don't forget the pressure washer is only as good as the nozzle tips - don't cheap out there.

My buddy has the Makita and he's had to replace a hose and an O-ring already. But he loves the lightweight feel. I guess it depends what you're doing. Noob here, but what's the deal with maintenance? I heard you have to winterize them and stuff. Which one is easier to deal with? Also, is it worth buying the pressure washer if I only use it like twice a year? I'm leaning to just rent, but I see deals on Black Friday...
