Hey folks, just wanted to share a quick safety tip after a scare today. I was using my pressure washer to clean the driveway and a tiny stone flew up and hit my safety glasses. Good thing I had them on! I almost skipped them since it was a quick job. That could have been my eye. Always wear PPE, even for a 5-minute job. Anyone else have a close call?

Ah man, glad you're ok! I had a similar thing happen last year. I was cleaning the siding and a piece of paint chip hit my cheek - left a nice red mark. I wear a full face shield now, plus ear protection because those things are loud. Better safe than sorry.

I hear ya, but I always think about cost. Good safety glasses are like $10 at the hardware store. That's cheap insurance. I bought a 3-pack, so I always have them around. No excuse not to wear them.

As a safety inspector, I can tell you that eye injuries are the most common pressure washer mishap. And it's not just flying debris - the water spray itself can cause damage if it gets in your eyes. Always wear ANSI-rated glasses or goggles. Also, check your hoses for weak spots before each use. Happy cleaning, everyone!

Good points, guys. I'm investing in a face shield too. And I'll never skip the glasses again. Thanks for the support!
