Hey guys, was browsing FB Marketplace and found a like-new Simpson MegaShot 3200 PSI for $150. Guy says he used it once. That's like $400 new. Should I jump on it? I just need something for the driveway and deck.

Steve, that Simpson is a solid machine. Honda engine, CAT pump – it'll last forever if you take care of it. For $150, I'd grab it before someone else does. Just check for leaks and make sure the engine runs smooth.

I'd be cautious. Simpson is good but I've heard some fakes floating around. Ask for serial number and check if it's a real Honda. Also, if it sat with water in the pump, seals could be shot. Bring a battery to test start.

Good points Will. I'll ask for pics of the serial and maybe a video running. DrillMaster, I always wanted a Simpson but couldn't justify full price. Thanks for the pump tip – I'll check that too.

Anytime. If it checks out, you're set. I've got an old Simpson that's been through hell and still runs. Just use pump saver after winterizing. Post a pic if you get it!
