Hey everyone, pulled out my pressure washer after winter and it won't start. It's a gas one, was running fine last fall. I changed the oil, fresh gas, but it just cranks and won't fire. Any ideas? Thanks!

Check the spark plug first. Pull it and see if it's fouled. Also, clean the carburetor - old gas can gum it up. I'd bet on that. If you used ethanol gas, it's a pain. Let us know what you find.

Yep, carburetor is likely. I've had this happen many times. You might need to drain the carb bowl and clean the jet. Also, check the air filter - could be clogged with a mouse nest or something. And make sure the kill switch is on, haha.

Could also be a safety switch not engaging. Some have a low oil sensor. Check the oil level - if it's low, it won't start. Also, check the spark arrester on the muffler if it has one, can get clogged.

If you end up needing a new carb, they're cheap online. I've replaced a few on small engines. But before that, try some starter fluid in the carb to see if it fires. If it does, you know it's fuel. Good luck!
