Pressure washer won't start after winter storage - help!

Hey everyone, I've got a Craftsman 2800 PSI pressure washer that's been sitting in the garage all winter. I plugged it in today (it's electric) and nothing happens. No power light, no hum, nothing. I checked the outlet and it works fine. Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm not a pro, just a homeowner trying to get my driveway clean.

First off, check the GFCI on the outlet and the one on the unit itself. Sometimes they trip when not used for a while. Also, make sure the switch is in the 'on' position (I know, but it happens). If that doesn't work, could be the cord or the motor. But since you said it's a Craftsman, they're usually pretty reliable. Thanks guys! I tried the reset button on the motor - didn't help. Then I unplugged and inspected the cord - looked fine. I think I'll take a multimeter to it like Mark said, but I'm a bit nervous about messing with the motor. If the capacitor is the issue, is that an easy fix? Or should I just take it to a shop?
