Hey everyone, my Karcher K2 battery pressure washer stopped working mid-use. Now the battery won't charge – the light just blinks red. Anyone had this issue? It's only a year old. Thanks!

Hate when that happens. Could be the charger or the battery itself. Try cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol. Also check if the battery is warm – if it's hot, might be a BMS issue. My buddy's Ryobi did that and it was a dead cell.

I've seen this a lot. Some Karcher batteries have a thermal sensor that trips if they get too hot. Let it cool for a few hours then try again. If not, might need a new battery – they're not cheap either.

If it's under warranty, call Karcher. Their customer service is decent. Otherwise, you can try a multimeter on the battery terminals – you should see something like 18-20V if it's a 18V battery. If it's 0, she's dead, Jim.

Make sure the charger is plugged into a working outlet too. Sounds dumb but I've chased my tail on that one. Also, some chargers have a reset button. Check the manual. Good luck!
