Hey all, just a friendly reminder to wear proper PPE when using a pressure washer. I see too many folks skipping safety glasses and gloves. I learned the hard way when a stone bounced off a driveway and hit my safety glasses - glad I had them on! Also, those things are powerful enough to cut skin, so sturdy boots and long pants are a must.

100%! I always wear a face shield and ear protection too. The noise can damage your hearing over time. And for gloves, I use those rubberized ones with good grip - they help with the wand vibration and protect against chemical splashes if you're using detergents.

Good advice Felix. I'd add to watch out for kickback - that wand can jump if you hit a crack. I always keep a firm grip and a wide stance. Also, never point it at anyone, even as a joke. That thing can inject water into skin and cause serious infections. Seen it happen once, no joke.

Great point Gary! And Wendys right about the hearing protection - those things are louder than you think. I keep a pair of those foam earplugs in the glovebox of my truck for when I forget my muffs.
