Hey guys, was at Home Depot yesterday and saw a Ryobi 2300 PSI gas pressure washer on clearance for $199. Normally it's like $350! It's the model with the Honda engine. I've been wanting one for cleaning my driveway and maybe siding, but I'm not sure if Ryobi is any good for pressure washers. Should I jump on this or wait for something better? My budget is tight but I don't wanna buy junk.

For $199 with a Honda engine? Grab it. Ryobi's homeowner-grade but that's a solid price. Honda GCV160 is reliable, just change the oil regularly. Check if it includes the wand and tips - sometimes clearance items are missing accessories. At that price, you won't find better new. I've run Ryobis on job sites as beaters for 3 seasons without major issues.

Tim's right on the engine, but consider your use case, Carl. 2300 PSI is fine for driveways and patios, but if you have delicate pavers or want to do deck cleaning, you might need adjustable pressure. Ryobi's pumps can be hit or miss - my crew burned through one in 2 years. Still, at that price, it's almost disposable. Just don't expect it to last like a Simpson or BE.

Thanks both! It did have all the accessories, I checked. Mostly just need it for concrete and maybe my fence. Rob, you think it'll handle a wood fence okay? I don't wanna strip the paint off my 10-year-old fence lol.

Use the 40-degree tip and keep the wand moving. Start on a small section. If it's peeling paint, it needed redoing anyway. For $199, you're getting 80% of a pro machine at 50% the cost. Buy it, run some pump saver through it before winter storage, and it'll serve you fine.
