Hey all, looking to upgrade my pressure washer setup. Torn between Milwaukee's M18 Fuel 3000 PSI and DeWalt's 3400 PSI gas model. I'm a general contractor doing everything from deck cleaning to equipment maintenance. Need something reliable that won't quit mid-job. Anyone using either daily? Real-world pros/cons appreciated - not just spec sheet stuff!

Apprentice carpenter here - we run the Milwaukee M18 at our shop. Boss swears by it for cleaning tools and trucks. Battery life is decent if you got the 12.0Ah packs, but it struggles with heavy grease on the skid steer. Plus side: no gas fumes in enclosed spaces. Downside: pricey AF for the whole system.

Roofing contractor - DeWalt gas all day. That 3400 PSI model eats through roof gunk like nothing. Ran mine 5 seasons now, only replaced the pump once. Milwaukee's cute for light work, but when you're 3 stories up and need power NOW, gas never lets you down. Just maintain it - change oil, fresh gas, etc. Pro tip: get the DeWalt surface cleaner attachment for decks.

DIY Dad here... I went Milwaukee electric last year for home use. Honestly? Kinda regret it. It's fine for washing the car and patio, but when I tried to strip my fence it bogged down quick. My neighbor's DeWalt gas unit made it look easy. If you're doing serious contractor work, listen to Chris. If you're mostly light duty and hate maintaining small engines, Milwaukee works.

Thanks guys - exactly what I needed. Sounds like DeWalt for heavy duty, Milwaukee if I want to avoid gas. Chris, how's the noise on that DeWalt? I do some residential areas where neighbors get fussy.
