DeWalt vs Makita Rotary Tools: Which One Should I Get?

I do a lot of hobbyist metalworking and woodworking, and I need something that can handle both grinding and cutting. I've heard good things about the DeWalt DW660, but the Makita RT0701C also seems solid. Anyone have experience with either? I'm leaning towards DeWalt because I already have their batteries, but I'm open to suggestions.

If you're going cordless, battery compatibility is key. Adapters can be sketchy and void warranties.
