DeWalt vs Makita Rotary Tools: Which One Should I Get?

Hey all, I'm in the market for a new rotary tool and I'm torn between DeWalt and Makita. I do a lot of detail work on wood and metal, and I need something that's reliable and won't die on me. I've heard good things about both, but I'm leaning towards DeWalt because I'm already invested in their battery system. Any thoughts?

Honestly, I'd go with whatever is cheaper. I bought a cheap rotary tool from Harbor Freight a while back and it's still running fine for occasional use. If you're a pro or use it every day, maybe shell out for the big names, but for hobby stuff, save your money. Also, don't forget to check if there are any combo deals or clearance sales.
