Hey everyone, I've got a Dremel 4000 that's been with me for a while. Today I went to charge the battery and the charger light just blinks red. The battery itself seems fine, no leaks or anything. Anyone know what gives? I've tried cleaning the contacts but no luck. Any ideas?

If you've cleaned the contacts and it's still blinking, it might be the charger itself. I've seen that with other brands before. Maybe try a different outlet or check the charger's fuse. But honestly, if it's a Dremel, you might as well just get a new one - they're not that great.

Blinking red usually means the charger is in a fault state. Have you tried leaving it plugged in for a bit? Sometimes it goes into a protection mode if the battery was too hot or cold. Let it sit for an hour and see if it switches to solid red or green.

Yeah, try what Dave said. I've had that happen with my Ryobi and it sorted itself out. Also make sure the battery is fully seated in the charger. I know mine sometimes clicks but not all the way, and that causes issues.
