Drilling into new territory: ACT Energy buys SB Directional - thoughts?

Interesting move. Directional drilling requires serious precision. I wonder what tech they're getting with SB Directional. Hope ACT's maintenance standards are up to par - those rigs need constant calibration.

Big oil stuff, not my usual weekend project scale lol. But hey, more drilling means more pipe in the ground. Any chance this trickles down to cheaper tools for us DIYers? *fingers crossed*

As someone who's done directional drilling for utility lines, this is huge. SB has a solid rep. ACT's gonna have to integrate fast though - two different cultures can clash. I've seen it go sideways.
