Hey guys, been using my Dremel a lot lately for sanding and grinding metal. I've just been using a cheap dust mask but I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a real respirator? What do you pros use?

Definitely get a respirator man. Those little dust masks don't seal for crap. I use a 3M half-face with P100 filters. Worth every penny, especially for metal or concrete dust.

+1 for the P100s. I had a nasty cough after a day of sanding drywall with just a dust mask. Now I never skip the respirator. Also, safety glasses are a must when using rotary tools - those little debris fly everywhere.

I got one of those cheap full-face respirators from Harbor Freight. It works OK but fogs up. Any tips for that?

Tim, get some anti-fog wipes or a fancier mask with a vent. Or you can spit on the lens and wipe it off old school style. But yeah, cheap ones are worthless.
