Just saw this article about Californians worried about a billionaire tax driving businesses out. I mean, I'm all for fair taxes, but this could hit the tool industry hard if companies like TTI (Milwaukee) or Bosch decide to pack up. Anyone else think this will drive up prices even more?

I dunno, man. Most of my tools are made overseas anyway. But if they leave, we lose jobs and maybe local support. I just want to know if I should stock up on sandpaper before prices skyrocket! Ha!

I think it's a bunch of hooey. The billionaires are crying wolf, but they won't leave because they like the weather and the beach. My 2 cents: watch for used tool deals on Craigslist when people panic sell their shops.

Good point, PlumberPaul566. But I read that some CEOs are already looking at Texas. If that happens, we might see more 'Made in USA' tools but at a premium. As for sandpaper, Paul535, maybe buy in bulk now just in case!
