California's Billionaire Tax: Will It Drive Businesses Away?

Just saw this poll saying most Californians are worried the billionaire tax will make businesses leave. Seems like a lot of fear, but what do you all think? Is it justified or just politics?

Honestly, I think it's overblown. I mean, rich people have been threatening to leave for years, but they're still here. And California's got so much going for it. Plus, the tax is on wealth over a billion, so it affects like 3 people. But I get the concern, big businesses might relocate, but smaller ones probably won't.

I'm in SoCal and I see the cost of living already pushing small businesses out. A billionaire tax might not directly affect them, but it's the message it sends. Also, the poll says voter apprehension, so people are worried. I think it could hurt the economy long-term if the big players leave. But then again, maybe it's needed for social programs. Hard to say.

I'm just a apprentice, but I've been following this. Seems like the tax might make some tech companies move to Texas or something. But honestly, I have friends in Austin and they're dealing with their own issues. I think California will be fine, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
