OT: Billionaire tax poll - thoughts? (sanders forum, pls no politics ban)

Interesting read, OP. I'm a Dewalt guy through and through, but this kinda stuff worries me. If businesses bail, good luck finding a deal on a new sander. I'm all for sticking it to the rich, but not if it kills the local economy. Then again, what do I know, I just sand things.

This is why I stick to Festool. Precision and quality don't care about politics. But seriously, a wealth tax could push manufacturers out. I've seen it before with regulations. Next thing you know, we'll be paying 20% more for abrasives. I need my 3M Cubitron, not some Chinese knockoff.

Whoa, didn't expect to see this on a sanding forum! But since you asked: I think it's a bunch of fear-mongering. Billionaires aren't gonna flee just because they have to pay a bit more. They'll find loopholes. Meanwhile, us DIYers are stuck with rising prices on sandpaper. I just bought a new random orbital and it cost me an arm and a leg. Anyway, back to sanding... anyone tried the new Diablo sandnet? Thoughts?
