Wealth tax fallout – good for biz or bad for CA?

Just saw this poll about that billionaire tax in CA. Seems like folks are worried businesses will pack up and leave. I've seen a few small shops shutter around here already. Thoughts?

Man, that's scary. I run my lil woodshop outta my garage but if big guys leave, the whole supply chain gets messed up. Hardware stores might jack up prices or close. Not good for DIYers.

I'm all for taxin the rich, but not if it makes jobs disappear. Remember when that tool distributor moved to Texas? Prices went up here too. Gotta balance it, IMO.

True Larry, but these billionaires can just play shell games. Meanwhile, regular joes like us get squeezed. I say tax consumption, not wealth.

Yeah, or maybe a flat tax on all purchases? Either way, hope they figure it out before my local lumber yard closes.
