Hey guys, been doing a lot of sanding lately and my cheapo dust mask isn't cutting it. What respirator do y'all use? I'm thinking about getting a half-face with P100 filters. Any recommendations?

Definitely go with a half-face respirator, Dave. I use a 3M 7500 series with the pink P100 filters. Make sure it fits tight—do a seal check before each use. And don't forget safety glasses too. Fine dust gets everywhere.

What Bob said! I got a 3M 6500QL for cheap on Amazon. Quick latch is nice for taking it off between coats. Also, if you don't have a shop vac with a HEPA filter, get one. That dust lingers and clogs your filters faster.

Thanks guys! I'll look into those. Pete, do you use the quick latch often? Seems like a gimmick.

Nah it's actually legit when you're going back and forth to the workbench. Just don't forget to put it back on before sanding again lol. Stay safe out there.
