Concrete cutting in Georgia? Any tips?

Just read this article about scheduling concrete cutting in Georgia. I've got a driveway project coming up and was thinking about doing it myself. Any of y'all have experience with concrete saws? I'm worried about getting clean cuts and not messing up the edges.
