Hey folks, saw this article about scheduling concrete cutting in Georgia. Got me thinking about my own project. Has anyone here done concrete cutting with a saw? I'm used to wood, but concrete seems like a whole different beast. What's the deal?

Yea, I've done a bit of concrete cutting for a patio extension. You definitely need a good diamond blade and a wet saw to keep dust down. I used a handheld saw, but for bigger stuff, you might want to rent a walk-behind. Safety glasses and ear protection are a must!

I've watched a few vids on it. Looks like you need to score the line first and then go deeper. Also, make sure to check for any rebar or hidden pipes before you start. That could ruin your day (and your blade).

Precision is key. I'd invest in a good guide rail system to keep the cut straight. And don't forget to measure twice, cut once – that's true even for concrete. Also, the article mentions 'Georgia Concrete Cutting' – maybe they have some pros you can consult for tips.
