Georgia Concrete Cutting - Anyone else see this? Need advice!

Basically it says you need to plan ahead, get permits, check utilities, and hire a pro with the right saw. But I'm thinking of doing some concrete cutting myself for a patio expansion. Anyone here tackled this? Is it worth DIY or should I just call a pro? I've got a circular saw but I'm guessing that won't cut it (pun intended).

Dude, concrete cutting is no joke. You need a diamond blade and a wet saw or at least a dust shroud. I've used the DeWalt DWC860W and it's a beast. But for Georgia, you gotta worry about rebar and thick slabs. If it's just a small patio, maybe rent a saw from Home Depot. But honestly, after watching a guy nearly cut his foot off, I'd say hire a pro. Not worth the risk.

I'm with Carl228 on this. I'm a Milwaukee guy myself, but for concrete, you need the right tool. The Milwaukee 2787-22 is a solid choice if you're going cordless, but for big jobs, go gas. Also, check if your area requires a permit. In Georgia, some counties are strict. And always call 811 before you dig! Last thing you want is to hit a gas line.
