Hey guys, my 7-1/4" cordless circular saw keeps stalling when I'm cutting 2x4s. Battery is fully charged, blade is sharp, but it just bogs down and stops after a few seconds. Any ideas what's wrong?

Check if the blade is on backwards or if the brake is sticking. Also, are you using the right blade for the material? A framing blade with fewer teeth might help.

Could be the battery contacts are dirty – clean them with a dry cloth. Also, sometimes the motor brushes wear out on those, have you checked those?

Blade's on correctly, and I cleaned the contacts. Still stalls. How do I check the brushes?

Most saws have caps on the side of the motor housing. Remove those with a screwdriver and pull out the brushes. If they're less than 1/4" long, replace 'em. If they're worn unevenly, could be a armature issue.
