Scored a deal on a circular saw - worth it?

So I found a barely used DeWalt DWE575 at a garage sale for $50. It's normally like $150+ I think. I'm a weekend warrior, so I don't need top of the line. Anything I should look out for? Is it a good saw?

Dude, that's a steal! The DWE575 is a solid saw. I've used one for years. Check the blade for wobble and make sure the base plate is flat. Also, if it's corded, check the cord for cuts. For $50, even if you have to put a new blade on it, you're still ahead. I'd grab it.

Yeah, what Steve said. That's a workhorse. I've put mine through hell on job sites. Just make sure the motor doesn't sound like it's grinding. If it's clean and cuts straight, you're golden. You'll get your money's worth out of it, trust me.

Thanks guys! It seemed to run fine when I tested it. I didn't check the base plate though, I'll do that. Also, the guy threw in a couple of extra blades, so I'm pumped. Guess I gotta find a project now.
