Was driving a #2 Phillips into some treated lumber, hand slipped and punched a 2-inch gash into my palm. 10 stiches and a tetanus shot later, I'm ordering a pair of cut-resistant gloves. Don't be dumb like me.

Ouch Tim! I used to think gloves were for wimps, but after a close call i bought a 3-pack of mechanix. Cheap insurance. Which brand did you get?

Been there done that. I actually prefer using those little rubber palm grippers that come with some kits. Gives you more feel than full gloves but still protects. Also, always wear safety glasses! I had a screw head snap off and a piece flew into my cheek.

I got the DeWalt cut level 2 gloves off Amazon. They were like 15 bucks. So far so good. And Chris, yeah I had glasses on luckily, but the gash was nasty. Always wear eye pro people!
