So I was at the local hardware store today, and they had a DeWalt 68-piece screwdriver set on clearance for $30. Normally it's like $80. I grabbed it, but now I'm wondering if it's actually any good or if it's just cheap junk. Anyone have experience with these? Worth keeping or should I return it?

Honestly, for $30 that's a steal! DeWalt usually makes decent stuff, especially for the price. I've got a few of their drivers and they hold up fine. If it's the set with the ratcheting screwdriver, that thing is a beast. I'd say keep it and use it a few times. Worst case, you return it if it breaks early. But for that price, you can't go wrong.

I've had that set or similar for a few years. The bits are pretty standard, but the handles are comfortable and the case is nice. For $30, it's a great deal. Even if you just use it as a backup or for the bits, it's worth it. I'd keep it. Also, check if the bits are impact-rated – that's a plus if you have an impact driver.

I've been doing carpentry for 30+ years and I've used everything. DeWalt is solid. That's a great price. Even if it's not the professional grade, for the homeowner it's perfect. I'd say keep it. Just remember, you get what you pay for, but $30 isn't exactly cheap – it's a discount. And if it breaks, DeWalt has a warranty. So no risk. Enjoy your new screwdrivers!
