DeWalt vs Makita Cordless Circular Saw – Which One's Better?

So I'm looking at getting a new cordless circular saw. I'm all in on DeWalt's 20V system (got like 5 batteries already lol). But I hear Makita's 36V stuff is beastly. Anyone tried both? I need something that can rip 2x4s all day and maybe some plywood. Not trying to start a war, just want real feedback.

I've used both. DeWalt's 20V is solid but Makita's 36V has more jam for thick cuts. If you're already deep in DeWalt, stick with it. The difference isn't massive unless you're cutting hardwoods all day. Also, Makita triggers feel nicer imo.

Bro, I've had my DeWalt 6-1/2 for 3 years now. Dropped it off a ladder once, still works fine. Never tried Makita but my buddy swears by his. Honestly, unless you're a pro framer, either will be fine. Just get the one with the better deal on batteries lol.

Thanks guys. I think I'll stick with DeWalt since I already have the batteries. Maybe I'll grab the 7-1/4 with the brake. Appreciate the input!
