Just had a close call with my angle grinder. A piece of wire wheel flew off and hit my safety glasses square on. They saved my eye, but man it scared me. PSA: always wear your PPE even for quick jobs. My glasses are now scratched but I'd rather have scratched glasses than a messed up eye.

Glad you're okay! I learned that lesson the hard way too. Now I have a dedicated spot in my shop for safety gear so I have no excuse. What kind of glasses do you use? I've been thinking about upgrading to something with anti-fog.

I got a 10-pack of cheap ones from Harbor Freight for like 5 bucks. They work fine and I don't care if I scratch them. But honestly, I should get something that fits better under my hard hat. Any budget-friendly recs?

I only trust 3M or Uvex. Yeah, they cost more but your eyes are priceless. Get the ones with a foam seal around the eyes for dust protection. I've had the same pair for 3 years still good. Don't cheap out on safety Larry.

I use the 3M secure fit ones. They're about $15 on Amazon. Comfortable and they don't fog up as much. Also got a face shield for grinding because that wire wheel incident freaked me out. Better safe than sorry!
