Hey all, just wanted to share a quick reminder about PPE. Yesterday I was using my angle grinder without safety glasses (yeah, I know, stupid) and a piece of wire wheel flew off and hit me right in the eye. Luckily it was just a scratch, but I could've lost my sight. Now I'm wearing safety glasses even when I think I don't need them. Don't be like me, guys. Wear your PPE!

Good call. I've been in the trade for 20 years and I've seen too many guys get hurt because they didn't want to look 'uncool'. I always tell my crew: if you're not wearing safety gear, you're not working. And invest in good ones – the cheap ones fog up and you'll take them off. I use anti-fog ones from 3M, they're worth it.

Preach! I almost lost a finger to a saw once because I was rushing. Now I'm a stickler for PPE. Also, ear protection is underrated. Ringing ears are no joke. Get those electronic muffs that let you hear conversations but block loud noises – they're a game changer.

Exactly. And don't forget to check your equipment too – that wire wheel was probably worn out. Replace them before they fail. Plus, make sure your safety glasses meet ANSI standards. I got lucky this time, but next time might not be so forgiving.
