Snap-on wrench set for $150? To good to be true?

Hey guys, just saw a guy on FB marketplace selling a full set of Snap-on combination wrenches (SAE) for $150. Claims they're lightly used. Is that even real? Should I jump on it or is it definitely stolen/knockoff? I've always wanted Snap-on but can't afford new.

At that price, it's either hot or fake. Snap-on wrenches ain't cheap. But if you can meet him in person and check for the part numbers and feel, might be worth it. The real ones have a distinct heft and the chrome is deep. Bring a magnet too - real Snap-on are non-magnetic (chrome vanadium).

I'd be wary. I've seen pics of knockoffs that look identical. Check the stamping - fakes often have shallow or blurry logos. Also, if he's willing to meet at a police station, that's a good sign. $150 for a full set is insane though, even used. Usually go for $300+.

Snap-on addict here. Honestly? I've bought used off ebay for good deals, but $150 for a whole set sounds too good. Possibly stolen - someone's ex or a crackhead. If you don't mind that, go for it. But be ready for missing sizes or swapped fake wrenches in the set. Ask for a photo of the whole set laid out.

Good points guys. I asked for more pics and he sent one of a couple wrenches, they look legit but the laser etching seems off. Gonna pass. Thanks for saving me from a headache!
